English Paper Piecing (EPP) is an age-old, traditional technique involving wrapping fabric around a paper template. It’s something your grandmothers and great grandmothers will have done regularly, using up old fabric scraps and worn out clothes to repurpose into warm winter quilts.  This was the thrifty way in years gone by and, as a technique, it’s just as viable now.  Today's sewists have given EPP a new spin with a host of exciting techniques and intriguing designs. There's a whole movement of sewing enthusiasts using this technique to create some fantastic pieces of work, and you could be one of them!  There are bucket loads of benefits when you practice's a fab way to use up your stash or to recycle and re-use some favourite fabric!   Best of all, this beautiful, hand-sewing technique, naturally incorporates mindfulness because it's...

If you’re interested in starting or want to improve your skills this could be just the club for you.  Perhaps you're an experienced patchworker and you are looking to explore the craft more deeply, taking your work in a new direction, by using new techniques, designs and ideas.  Well this new Patchwork Club is the place to try these things, meet lovers of sewing & EPP whilst helping and supporting each other.


A true CLUB, you will receive lots of member’s benefits. The meetings are held over a 12 week term, where there will be expert help, guidance and tools & materials on offer. 

The club would really suit sewing enthusiasts of all abilities and experience.  Sessions are tailored around your skills and you can work on your own project or perhaps have one designed for you to get you started.

You can choose to join the club as

an online or in-person member.

All the benefits are the same either way.


As this is a club that is jam-packed, each session, with benefits, handouts, giveaways and full support, the joining fee is all payable before the club starts. This way you will have full access to all the resources of the club even if you miss a session.


  • For those new to EPP there will simple projects provided to get you started and help to build skills.
  • For those who have some experience there will be guidance on project choice and expert help along the way.
  • For the more experienced with this technique there will be some sophisticated patterns for more complicated projects and patchwork challenges along the way to stretch your skills & creativity.

Here’s how it will work for ‘In-person and ‘Online’ members:



12 weekly evening meetings – 2.5 hours duration. Each meeting has a subject theme with demos/tutorials and opportunity to practice and make samples.

12 week term. Each of the weekly themes will be posted out with sample fabric and a link to an online demo.  Weekly online Q&A session to offer help and support specific to members.

All patterns & reference documentation will be posted here electronically in PDF form,  so you download anytime and to any device.  Online members will have access to a private website where they can buy the fabric, tools etc with a large member discount.  The demo videos and tutorial will be posted on this site. this for you?...
