My name is Paula and I love all things crafty! I started this business quite recently and my aim is to be developing constantly. So that means although KitBagCrafts is still just in it's infancy, it is starting to grow and evolve daily. However, although the business is relatively young, I am less so!! and have been designing and creating projects for over 40 years!
I have always loved making something myself and, in most cases, from not very much. I often re-work fabrics that have led previous lives to give them a new form. I also make soft furnishings for my own home and use new fabrics to create useful and attractive homewares, such as oven gloves, tea towels and tea cosys. In addition I design and make a range of soft toys. My first love is sewing and so most of my projects involve a needle and thread and usually my trusty sewing machine (to save time!). That's me in the photo, sitting in my lovely workroom raring to go!
I love making rather than buying as it gives me a massive sense of achievement and I enjoy the results of my labours all the more. Various family members have been the recipients of my projects for years...from my early Christmas gifts of pyjama cases and cushions to, more recently, covered notebooks and covered chairs. I wanted to share with you just how good it feels to have made something for yourself.
BUT I also realise that not everyone has the time, or confidence, to start and complete a project. It does take time and effort to source a pattern for what you want to make and then try to find the material, decide how much to buy and then try to figure out how to make the item.
So I thought it would be a good idea to share some of my favourite projects with you and let you get the 'feelgood factor' without the hassle, by providing everything you need in one handy crafty KitBag. Have a look through the website to see how my KitBags work and what would suit you.
If you want to be a KitBagCrafts VIP and receive my e mail newsletter, I promise to send you useful info on new products, new services and what's happening in the crafting world. PLUS as a VIP you get access to free patterns, special offers, and lots of crafty goodness!
I look forward to working with you and perhaps seeing some of your completed projects. I host a Facebook group called KitBag CraftHub and we have some lovely members who share photos of their work regulary. We all support each other in our crafting, so why not head over and, if you like what you see, -join us?
